The Palm
The Palm was developed as the first authentic Arabian restaurant in its locality. Situated in the Bavarian town of Gruenwald, the famous German film city, its close proximity to Munich makes it the place to be. An indoor and outdoor combined space of 74 sqm, the restaurant accommodates 55 people. The theme of the interior complements its cuisine and is to be utilised during all three meals of the day. The colour scheme consists of pale green, dark wood and polished brass. The interior floor is spread out with custom made terrazzo, and the tables are made up of dark toned solid wood with brass edging. The bar displays the vintage wine collection along with a confectionary display, and the sign above it makes clear their mission. The space encourages guests to come as they are with a variety of seating configurations suitable for groups and single diners alike, coupled with the live kitchen counter where guests can view the chef’s performance. The cosy corner is set on a backdrop of pastel green lamellas with a brass palm leaf overlaying it. The façade window is adjustable to turn into an indoor/outdoor high table. Across from it is the outdoor space. Covered with a retractable sun protector roof, the space consists of rough wood and sand flooring with special emphasis on the flora to represent the cuisine.
